My Review:
As the cover states, this book is about “an art dealer, a homeless man, and the extraordinary woman that brought them together“.
This was a fabulous book. Each chapter alternates between Ron’s side of the story, and Denver’s side. I loved how every time it was Denver’s time to speak, you could “hear” his Southern accent and his “roots” by the way the words were written on the page.
And, what a story! As a reader, I really was moved by the fact that this kind of thing still goes on in this day and age — it’s really hard to believe, almost.
There were parts of this book where I laughed, and parts where I cried very hard.
I can’t recommend this book enough.
